World's First Ratio Fluorescence System

Photon Technology International Inc. announced today the introduction of the first fluorimeter system for ratio fluorescence measurement (patent pending) - DeltaScan™ I. The system was developed and introduced for use with newly developed ratiometric dyes for the detection of intracellular calcium ions. The new system coupled with the new Fura-2 dye allows for real time detection and monitoring of intracellular calcium ion concentrations in living cells.
